Bird Wars

Hi *****,
I wondered why my feeders are overrun with finches, then noticed that your feeder is empty. If you need help filling it with the snow, please let me know.
My wild birds thank you, as the finches are aggressive towards my wild birds.
Thanks, Our Crazy Neighbor

Tree Trimming

At long last, the arborist is coming July 8-10 to sheer and top all Leylands. Would you please ask Don to move his truck so the chipper can park there again, as in the past. Many thanks.

Hope your summer is fine. xo

Have not heard back from you regarding the parking spot for the chipper/truck when it arrives next week. Are we on track?

Thought I heard you say that the blue pool was going away…it does nothing for the mower yet there is a new type of mosquito about that can cause human death. Please get rid of that pool and any other standing water on your property ASAP.

Many thanks, D.

Apparently Don forgot that the white truck needs to be on the other side of the mailbox, as both chipper and truck must park in that right of way.

I appreciate his full cooperation.

The tree trimming date has changed to July 14-16, as I hired a new company. Kindly forward this info to Don so he can move the truck to the other side of the mailbox and out of the way of equipment.

Thanks for all your help. Stay cool, D.

THE DITCH !!!!

Ron—your unwillingness to work with me on the drainage ditch issue boggles my mind. My ditch and culvert must handle ALL your property/house discharge. The grass in YOUR ditch was intended to slow down your water and filter what goes in to my ditch. Now we are back to square one with your mulch residue running into MY culvert and ditch. If you care to inspect, you will see your mulch in the rocks on their way to my culvert and ditch. This stuff does not magically disappear. It clogs my water way. I have enough to do without hauling more rock, as you seem to want to kill all grass in the ditch rather than mowing/trimming it.

Are you willing to bear the expense of cleaning out or replacing my culvert when it totally clogs??? I did not t think so. Please stop killing the grass in your ditch! IF you do not want grass there, then fill your ditch with ROCK. What can you do to undo what your spraying undid?

And by the way, that blue kiddy pool is constantly with standing water, breeding mosquitoes for both Stella and me to enjoy. Isn’t it way past time to take the thing to Habitat and let them sell it to some family with kids who would use it?

Kindly review my comments and get back to me. We must come to some understanding about the ditch.

The Pool

County had to be called because we set up our pool in the yard for the summer. The "neighbor" called the county saying the electric cord that powers the pump was not to code.  After several conversations with the county we were told we could instead run the pump off a generator. SOOO tempting.

Cat Police

Dear Clark and Dot,

For the past two mornings I have found Inky in my yard stalking the birds feeding on the feed I provide. It is usually around 7:30 AM when I discover him. I have tried to convince him to retreat, yet he is persistent in hunting. I do not know a solution for this and hope you both will come up with something. Thanks for giving the birds a chance!

Many thanks and Happy New Year!

Wood Stove Final

Dear Tim,

It appears that you have corrected the wood smoke problem, as your chimney has not belched toxic fumes in days. Thank you very much…and my lungs thank you.
